This Little Light of Mine ~ I'm Gonna Let it Shine!
I have many thoughts about God, the Almighty, Creator, Omnipotent, Sovereign of the Universe, Self-existent, Perfect, Superior above all else, my Abba Father, who loved me so much He took the punishment for all my wrongdoing upon Himself. Fact is, I think about Him ALL the time. He is my all in all, my Blessed Savior, Loving Father, ever-there Comforter and Guide.
The trouble is, as much as I think about God, I many times have trouble putting my thoughts about God into words. Who can express Him as He truly is? Only He Himself in His Holy Word, the Bible.
I find many others, as I look back through HisStory, that have been gifted to express their thoughts of Him so much better than my words can ever tell. Perhaps I should share more quotes that express my thoughts through other's words. Perhaps I already do that. :-)
But 2008 is the year I've determined, am compelled, to try to begin to more regularly and clearly give voice to my thoughts.
I don't know why God has given me the deep convictions and passions that He has, nor why I have the individuality that I do. This frail, flawed form is nothing but dust. Yet God has chosen to place His Spirit within me, to use this faulty vessel to carry His Glory, as a part of His Body. I truly can't understand why. But I do know He has placed a burning desire within me to love Him and to follow Him and to testify of Him to others. So, as His created being, I am nothing but a humble servant of the King of the Universe, serving the best I am able, and begging for Grace to do better.
The ideas I share here are born out of these passionate desires. They are reflections of my journey as I am transformed by renewing my mind by God's Word, that I might become conformed to the image of His Own Dear Son, Jesus the Christ, and not be conformed to this world.
